Officers from the Ossining Police Department were dispatched to 9 Broad Ave. at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, where there was a report of a disturbance in the area.

Police said that upon arrival, officers found three victims who had been lacerated from “an edged weapon.” Investigators said that the suspect was likely known to the victims, and the incident does not appear to be a random act, noting that there is no immediate threat to the community.

The three victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, investigators are following up on several leads and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the slashing incident has been asked to contact detectives by calling (914) 941-4099.

“We have leads and our investigation is ongoing but we need the assistance of the community,” police said. “Broad Avenue is a busy place where people like to congregate, particularly during nice weather. It’s a place full of families who are working to give their children opportunities.

“Incidents like this are becoming too common. We will put every resource and every ounce of energy toward stopping the violence but we cannot do it alone. It is time for our neighbors to stand up and demand an end. We deserve better; our children deserve better.”
